A hands-on financial professional, Mr. Rhodes is motivated by delivering on Belmont’s promise to provide value while serving clients with purity of intent. With every client, his main objective is to help them identify, prioritize, and execute their professional and personal goals.
In each client relationship, Mr. Rhodes focuses on providing what he calls sensible financial advice and guidance – the kind that brings clients confidence, in addition to tangible results. Recognizing that successful people have “plenty on their plates,” Mr. Rhodes aims to streamline clients’ financial obligations – listening, learning, and appreciating what’s on clients’ minds and in their hearts.
Mr. Rhodes understands that the wealth management landscape is dynamic, and to maintain a disciplined planning-based approach advisors must be lifelong learners. For that reason, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (CHSNC®) from the American College of Financial Services.
Before starting Belmont, Mr. Rhodes worked at St. Louis based firms Moneta Group and Krilogy. At Moneta, he worked closely with clients and colleagues – helping a team of twenty manage more than $2.7 billion in assets. At Krilogy, he built his practice while serving as lead financial planner for one of the largest teams at the firm.
Mr. Rhodes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University. John serves as treasurer on the board of 21 & You, a charity whose mission is to enhance the education opportunities of children with Down syndrome. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, reading, playing pickleball and golf.
